Before your departure we will prepare an information
file on your dog which includes telephone numbers where
you can be reached, a Veterinary release form, and notes
on all other pertinent information that you would like
us to know in case of an emergency.
|
 |
If your
dog is dangerous and aggressive to people, we will not
be able to accommodate you. If your dog is not well
socialized with other dogs, we do not recommend a group
outing. An aggressive dog can be a danger to other dogs
in the pack who are out to have a fun time. We can take
your dog on a private, on-leash walk.

|
We
understand that your cat is used to having access to the outdoors,
but we strongly suggest that they stay inside while we are
caring for them. We would just worry about their safety too
much if they went out and then did not return “as usual”.
Many cats will refuse to approach the house if they do not
know us very well. It is best that they stay inside during
this time.

We need to know you have arrived safely
back home and that your pets are OK, or we will continue to visit your pet(s) until we hear from you.
We don't want to assume that you arrived home at your scheduled time. |
 |
If you know that
you will need an extra visit due to your delay, please call
us immediately. For safety reasons, we will continue to visit
your pet until we have confirmation that you have arrived
home. * The client will be charged for any extra visits made
after the time scheduled to be home. |
 |
Most clients
prefer this option. We are then available for short notice
visits. It can be difficult to arrange key drop off and pick
up times that are convenient for |
| both you and us. We also
offer a “lock-out service” so if you’re locked
out of your house, we have a key on file. |
|
 |
|
One
copy is for daily use. The other copy is kept in a secure
location as a back-up in case of emergency. All keys
are coded and do not have your name or address written
on them. If you do not have 2 copies ready for us at
the consultation, we can make a copy for you for $5. |

Yes,
several of my clients have taken advantage of our concierge,
or after-hours services this way.
|
 |
| Yes, we would be happy to
accommodate your needs. |

 |
| Sorry, but we are only insured
for your pets and can not take humans for a walk. |
 |
| Yes, if we have your key
on file. |
| |
|
|
 |
| Certainly, we can. Let us know
if you need other assistance too, such as picking up groceries
or prescriptions for you. |
 |
While you are away, we highly recommend
that we be the only ones who will be entering your home and caring for your pets. Some people like to
include neighbors, relatives, and friends in petsitting duties. Communication can often break down between
caregivers. This can cause much confusion during a sitting assignment. Many problems can arise when you
have multiple people caring for your pet. The most common among these problems is over-feeding, over-medicating,
missed visits, needed items are misplaced, unlocked doors, or – the worst - a pet that escapes.
If something goes wrong, you would not know who the responsible party was. If anyone other than Pisgah
Petsitters has access to your home during our scheduled dates of service, we must be notified in advance
and are not liable for any damages or losses. |
